Ceramic Goddess Pendant - Cobweb Jasper

Now then, this one a bit special!!

Hand sculpted goddess pendant, with a Cobweb Jasper genstone.

I created the base, and high fired it with embedded, hammered wires to act as a clasp for the gemstone. I then fired it again with Bronze clay, Oriental Caramel and gloss glaze. Applied with Sterling Silver clay and Gold lustre, and fired once more.

I adhered the Jasper in the centre, and then gently hammered down the clasp pins to hold it securely in place.

I'm more than a little bit chuffed with this piece!!!

Proceeds from the sale of all pieces in this section will go to the Rebuilding Lives UK charity created by Naima Ben-moussa to help survivors of domestic abuse. She aims to create a nationwide network of people working in the building trade and to raise funds for materials, to help people re-build their homes and lives that have been destroyed by abusive ex-partners.
